Master the 5 Pillars of Islam

Practical Islam is based on 5 key pillars

This is very important pillar. this is the first step for anyone practicing Islam. You must believe in it. It is mentioned in Arabic as the shahaada- lā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muḥammadun rasūlu-llāh.

This pillar is equally important as the first pillar. This pillar is to create your direct connection with the God. You pray 5 times during a day.

This pillar is also important like first two pillars. It is called Zakaat in Arabic. Zakaat means 'purification' as well as 'growth'. It enforces capable people to help the needy people.

Fasting is the fourth pillar having its own importance. It helps you build your spiritual strength. It is done through abstaining oneself from eating, drinking and legal sexual relations between sunrise and sunset.

This is the fifth pillar of Islam and is called Hajj. You are required to perform it if your are physically and financially capable. It is done once in a year. One Hajj is sufficient to fulfill the requirement of this pillar.

quote-2

“You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.” Al-Maida: verse 82.
